Will be going for RedHat!

Preparations

10 06 2008

Blogging a lot for the night. But stress obviously drives me up the wall which means I spend more time procrastinating instead of doing the right thing, which is to pack for class tomorrow and sleep.

My wonderful and very forgiving dad just help me book my 2 easyjet plane tickets, which I needed while the offer was still available. And the reason I say very forgiving is because I managed to max out my credit card. And I am no aristocrat, my family doesn’t have a massive inheritance from generations of wealth from long ago. So thanks Dad! You are awesome. I will pay back that money one day. Promise.

The other thing is, my whole holiday is hanging in the balance. I needed that ticket because I wanted to go for the Sarnen RedHat. And I booked the plane ticket, without receiving confirmation of a spot in the tournament. Which means I am very very anxious for a spot now. I mean REALLY anxious. I guess not going to 4ferkel would be a disappointment, but not going for RedHat? Esp when I could be playing for other hat tournaments would be a massive spirit breaker. And besides, my parents would KILL me for spending so much on the ticket when I had no purpose for going there. AH!

I need that coveted RedHat spot.

And last thing on my mind. I only have 3 weeks more in Rössl. And only a certain number of weeks left in Europe. I not only have left my heart in Europe, I actually feel really European. Where’s home. I know I have to leave. But its complicated, and its confusing. And now I am torn between Europe, and Singapore and HK. And part of me is in America too. Split into far corners of the world. What am I to do.

Frustrated

10 06 2008

I have Übung this week. A week long Übung. Its quite amazing but I rather understand all the theory part of things. Which is quite good considering the minimum amount of german I speak nowadays. But its frustrating working with Austrian students again I guess. My lab partner is quite blur for someone who is doing her PhD. And everything is done in a slow pace. My guess is that if this lab was done in Singapore, it would be finished by 3pm, and we would all be out in the sun sipping beers, waiting for the next Euro match to start.

I still have tons of work to do. Gotta start doing work more efficiently now. I have like 2 protocols to write, and 2 exams to study for, even though one exam is practically useless, and one protocol is more or less finished. Stress. 2 more weeks before my big trip. Lets home my professors grant me my oral exam before I leave or I am in for big trouble.
